Interested in improving your communication and leadership competencies?

The Legacy Owls are a local club of Toastmasters International open to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and neighbors of Kennesaw State University.

We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

Meetings: every Friday from 12:15pm - 1:15pm (excluding university holidays and closures)

Location: KSU Center Room 176 (Directions)

The Legacy Owls and the Center for University Learning are currently sponsoring Speechcraft. A six session workshop where participants learn to prepare and present a speach, and learn to handle impromptu speaking situations. The program will run every Second and Fourth Friday with sessions starting in January, May, and September 2018. Note: The series starting in January is full, however we are still taking registrations for May and September.

Speechcraft Program Fees*:

KSU Faculty/Staff:                No Charge
Non-KSU Participants:          $10
KSU Students and Alumni:   $5

After completing the Speechcraft program the cost to continue in the Toastmasters Program will be a one time $20 fee and $45 every six-months to cover the cost of materials including the Competent Communication and Competent Leadership manuals.

*fees for these programs and materials are considered KSU employee professional development, and can be paid for by departments with permission from your supervisor and department business manager.
